Description:
This print on premium paper reinterprets iconographically a Space Marine from the Warhammer 40k universe through the style of Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints. The image shows a majestic armored figure, a warrior in vivid red energy armor with glowing blue eyes and a stylized bicep eagle on the chest. The warrior is captured in a dynamic pose while raising a massive Requiem pistol with blue luminous details and holding a luminous energy shield. The background features a deep black with stylized clouds, cherry blossoms (sakura) and autumn maple leaves (momiji) in red and pink, framing the warrior in a poetic fusion of war and nature.
"I wanted to show that even an armored warrior is not separated from nature and its impermanence, blending the honor of combat with the aesthetics of the floating world."
Creative Process:
The work was created through an innovative hybrid process: an initial sketch was generated with sophisticated Artificial Intelligence, subsequently interpreted and fully hand-colored by the artist using professional software on an iPad. In the final phase, a dedicated filter was applied that enhances the neo Ukiyo-e style, giving the illustration incisive lines, strong contrasts, and that graphic elegance typical of contemporary Japanese tradition.
Packaging and Shipping:
Each print is personally packaged by the artist in their own studio; the packaging is highly protected as the print is shipped rolled in protective tubes.
The Artist – SSICK:
SSICK, born in 2003, is a young Italian artist whose work stands out for the ongoing search for a balance between technological innovation and artistic sensitivity.
