Carving set Louis XVI

Meat carving set with a silver-handled handle, 950 fineness, Minerva head hallmark and forged steel blade; same for the fork. French manufacture from the second half of the 19th century.

Louis XVI style decoration: the handles are decorated with a motif of palmettes surmounting a cartouche surrounded by a frieze of gadroons; the rest of the handle features an interlaced pattern.

Finely hand-engraved.
