Boetseerbok hoog model sculpting stand from the Netherlands, dating to 1980–1990, with a steel base, adjustable steel tube and a 24 cm aluminium turntable on top, overall height 70–98 cm, footprint 42 cm by 42 cm, depth 22 cm, weighing 10 kg, in good used condition with minor signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
A robust and very high-quality sculpting stand. The stand has a steel base with a steel tube inside that is height-adjustable. On that tube is a aluminum turntable attached, with a diameter of 24 cm. Cork is glued along the edge and around the rim of the disc to protect the artwork.
At the lowest setting the stand is 70 cm tall and at the highest 98 cm. The T-foot is 42 cm long and the top part of the T is also 42 cm.
The T-shaped foot makes the stand very stable. When you pull the tube out of the base, you hear a suctioning sound; the tube fits so snugly into the uprights. There is no play, so the tube can be extended to its full length and fixed in place without the stand becoming unstable.
The stand probably dates from the last quarter of the previous century, but it is still 100% functional and stable.
Besides the fact that you can use this sculpting stand for modeling and sculpture, you could also use it as an industrial pedestal. Very nice to place a sculpture on it (see photos) or for another form of (abstract) art. You could even use the sculpting stand as a stool, although it is certainly not designed for that.
The stand is carefully packed in two parts and shipped insured.
