Foo Dog seal stamps - Soapstone - China - -

Two pieces of hand-carved Chinese seal stamps made of soapstone. On top of the stamps sits a temple lion, or Foo Dog. Both have a small cub under their paw, which indicates they are female lions and symbolizes protection and guardianship. Along all sides are detailed engravings with traditional scenes and characters. On the underside the seal engraving.
In very nice old and sturdy condition. height 16 centimeters, weight together 4240 grams.
