The Loyalty of the Eastern Legions
Presenting an exceptionally rare and historically significant silver denarius of the usurper emperor Pescennius Niger. Struck during his brief and turbulent eastern rebellion at the mint of Antioch (or possibly Caesarea) in Syria, this artifact is a true numismatic prize. With only a handful of known examples worldwide, it represents one of the absolute rarest reverse types from his reign.

Obverse: IMP CAES C PESC NIGER IVST AVG (or known variants). Features the striking, laureate, right-facing portrait of the emperor.
Reverse: FIDEI EXERCITVI (To the Loyalty of the Army). Prominently displays three legionary military standards (signa). The central standard traditionally bears the inscription VIC AVG, a powerful piece of military propaganda.
Rarity: Extreme Rarity. A surviving relic of a violent struggle for the Roman throne, directly honoring the military might that backed Niger's claim.
