Appearance
There are minor scuffs from normal use, but overall the camera remains in very clean condition considering its age. Even in the Japanese used market, it is becoming difficult to find an F4 in this level of preservation.
Optics
There is no fungus or haze inside the viewfinder. There is LCD bleeding in the upper left area of the viewfinder, but this is a very common condition on most Nikon F4 bodies and does not affect actual use at all.
Function
There is a slight squeak when using the depth-of-field preview, but the camera remains fully functional with no operational problems.
