Announced at Photokina 2002 and released that November, the Fujifilm FinePix M603 looks like nothing else from its era — a tall, upright, camcorder-style body held vertically, with the shutter release on the side where your finger naturally rests. ## Why the M603

Fujifilm designed the M603 as a genuine "two-in-one" — a serious stills camera and a capable movie camera in a single pocketable body. At its heart is Fujifilm's 3rd Generation Super CCD sensor, known for its warm, low-noise colour rendering and pleasing tonal roll-off — the "Super CCD look" that vintage-digital enthusiasts specifically seek out. It also shoots full-VGA video at 30fps with sound, which was a standout feature at the time.

## Condition

Not new — this is a used camera that has been **tested and is fully working**. It powers on correctly and the LCD displays a clean live image (please see photos). Cosmetically, the body shows **scratches and surface wear, most noticeably along the sides**, consistent with its age and use — please review the photographs closely, as they form part of the description. The original box also shows shelf wear and retains its original retail price sticker, a nice period touch.

Please note: as is normal for cameras of this age, the **internal backup battery** (which keeps the clock running) is no longer holding a charge. This does not affect the camera's operation in any way — it simply means the camera may **ask you to set the date and time each time it is switched on**. This is common and expected for a camera of this era and is not a fault.
