5 Jiao coin of the People's Republic of China belonging to the modern circulating series. The obverse features the Chinese national emblem with the Tiananmen Gate in the centre, surrounded by ears of grain and crowned by the five stars representing the country's state symbolism. The reverse shows the value 5 Jiao accompanied by a plum blossom branch, with an elegant design that combines traditional Chinese elements and a contemporary aesthetic. An example in excellent condition, with very sharp relief, bright fields of an intense original gold tone and minimal contact marks, showing a superior quality in line with its high grade MS66 (NGC).
