Porcelain blue‑and‑white ginger jar with cover from the Qing Dynasty (1850–1900), titled 'Double Happiness', 22 cm tall, in excellent condition with a non‑original 19th‑century lid that fits and a barely visible hairline crack.

A Fine Chinese Blue and White 'Double Happiness' Ginger Jar with Cover
Decoration: Hand-painted in underglaze blue featuring the stylized Double Happiness character surrounded by a scrolling sweet pea vine motif. The shoulder is adorned with a classic ruyi border, and the base is finished with a band of stylized vertical leaves.
Dimensions: Total height 22 cm (18 cm without the lid).
Condition Report:
Jar: In beautiful, excellent condition. Completely intact with no cracks, chips, or restorations.
Lid: The lid is not original to the jar, but it fits perfectly and is also from the 19th century. It has a barely visible, fine hairline crack (clearly shown in the close-up photos from both the inside and outside- see last 2 photos.)
