Large European Belle Époque Bone Folding Fan with Sequins & Lace – 37 cm
This impressive large European folding fan dates from the late 19th to the early 20th century (circa 1895–1915), reflecting the refined elegance of the Belle Époque period. The fan features a beautifully decorated light-coloured textile leaf embellished with delicate lace trim and shimmering gilt sequins arranged in graceful floral and scrolling patterns. The carved bone sticks are finely pierced and decorated with gilt dot ornamentation, complementing the elegant design. Combining fine craftsmanship with sophisticated decorative detail, this large fan is an attractive example of European fashion accessories from the turn of the century and would make a wonderful addition to a collection of antique fans or decorative arts.
