Rare freemasonic compass and square set, two objects from France dating to the early 20th century, in reasonable condition.

Rare Masonic set – Compasses and Square engraved – Early 20th century (around 1920-1930)
Magnificent set composed of a large compass and a square richly decorated with symbols of Freemasonry.
This is an old work presenting a beautiful patina of the era and numerous symbolic engravings.
The engravings show natural wear due to time, in keeping with the object's age. This patina reinforces its authenticity. Please examine the photographs carefully, which are an integral part of the description.
Dating
In light of the manufacture, materials, and the style of the engravings, this set can be attributed to the early 20th century, probably between 1920 and 1930 (estimate).
The compass
Length: 37.5 cm
One face is engraved with the representation of the Great Architect of the Universe.
The other face depicts the All-Seeing Eye.
One edge is decorated with acacia leaves, a symbol of immortality and fidelity in Masonic tradition.
The opposite edge bears the inscription, in Masonic alphabet, of the motto:
« To the Glory of the Great Architect of the Universe ». a writing based on the Masonic number (also called Pigpen Cipher, or “the Freemasons’ cipher”). This system uses shapes
The square
Length: 24 cm
Wooden frame with brass blade
One face is adorned with the three symbols of the principal officers of the Lodge:
the Worshipful Master,
the Senior Warden,
the Junior Warden.
The other face features several emblematic symbols:
the Mosaic Pavement (checkered),
the two pillars J and B.
