Description from the seller
Three very decorative milking stools. The oldest of the three (the blue one probably dates from the 1950s or 1960s, the largest brown one from the 1960s or 1970s, and the brown smallest stool probably from the 1980s) have all three legs and a top with beveled corners (to protect the legs), giving them the desired appearance of a milking stool.
Dimensions:
The large brown
-height: 32 cm
-top width: 24.5 cm
-top depth: 17 cm
-weight: 1.3 kg
-material: beech
The large blue
-height: 32.5 cm
-top width: 21 cm
-top depth: 17 cm
-weight: 1.2 kg
-material: beech
The small brown
-height: 28 cm
-top width: 21.5 cm
-top depth: 17 cm
-weight: 1 kg
-material: beech
The stools are completely stable. They have a sturdy thick top and the three legs sit firmly in place.
Whether the stools were made as milking stools is unlikely, but they have the form. You can regard them as stools; they are still sturdy enough for that, but they can also be used perfectly as plant stands or pedestals (see photos). The stools still look very good. They naturally show signs of use in the form of fine scratches and nicks, but these are logical signs of use that the stools have acquired after more than 60 years of use. It adds a piece of history to the furniture. The blue stool was once painted by an owner, probably for a children’s room. This paintwork can of course be removed, but it also adds something of the history of the stool.
You can use the stools as plant stands, as pedestals, and even as a small side table (see photos). Of course they can also be used as stools!
In any interior, these stools are very decorative and functional pieces of furniture!
The stools are carefully packed and insured for shipping.
