Description:
This essential and evocative art print, printed on premium paper, evokes the charm of the first robotic design sketches and twentieth-century technical illustration, reinterpreted with a strong monochromatic painterly imprint.
The work captures an anthropomorphic robot with a massive yet lithe appearance, depicted in full figure as it strides with a dynamic and solemn step. Its prototype armor, defined by white and light blue tones, features a squared head devoid of human features, except for a single blue circle on the side functioning as a visual sensor. The left arm is extended forward in mid-air, while the right arm follows the movement along the body, highlighting the mechanical joints and the black pins on the leg blocks. The background, characterized by a texture rich with dense vertical strokes of blue and cobalt blue, gives the scene a strong sense of three-dimensionality and material.
"I wanted to isolate the pure movement of the machine, stripping the robot of every superfluous futuristic detail to focus on the solitude and grace of its march."
Creative process:
The work was created through an innovative hybrid process: an initial draft was generated with sophisticated Artificial Intelligence, subsequently interpreted and fully hand-colored by the artist using professional software on an iPad. In the final stage, a dedicated filter was applied to enhance the neo ukiyo-e style, giving the illustration incisive lines, strong contrasts, and that graphic elegance typical of contemporary Japanese tradition.
Packaging and Shipping:
Each print is personally packaged by the artist in their own studio. The packaging is highly protective as the print is shipped rolled in protective tubes.
The Artist – SSICK:

Founder of the artistic collective SSICKLAB, he regards technology as an expressive tool in the service of creativity. His works take shape through a process that integrates artificial intelligence with a thorough hand-painted digital intervention on an iPad, making every piece the product of a personal artistic vision.
