Description from the seller
Scena Illustrata" was an authoritative Italian fortnightly magazine founded in Florence in 1885 by Pilade Pollazzi. The 1901 collection is a bound volume containing that year's issues, which feature magnificent color-illustrated covers and Art Nouveau interiors, offering a rich insight into the culture, art, and society of the period.
Style and Covers: The issues feature typical covers with Art Nouveau decorations, enhanced by relief details, ornamental borders, and illustrations by the leading artists of the period.Topics Covered: The magazine ranged from literature to art, including sports, theater, current events, and detailed reports on Italy and Europe.Illustrious Contributors: Within its pages, you can find contributions from major literary figures, including Capuana, Carducci, Croce, De Amicis, Fogazzaro, Verga, and Zola.
"The cover is damaged, but the pages inside are in excellent condition. Only about four pages in total are slightly damaged. Furthermore, the first image on the magazine cover features a signature in the top right corner, which could be the original one by Mataloni. I have only taken a few photos, but I can add any others you might wish to see
