AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Vehicle in ORIGINAL STATE from 1930.

BODYWORK / PAINT:

Vehicle in ORIGINAL condition. No bodywork or repainting has been done.
From the photos you can see that there are a few dents on the fenders, front and rear. The paint is flaking in some areas. It needs a full repaint.
The windows go up and down, but the rubber gaskets are dried from the passage of time.
The few chrome parts would need an update.

It has never had any accident, so there are no welds or anything on the original chassis.

MECHANICS:

The vehicle starts well when cold and hot. Only, it needs a little fuel to the carburetor if it has been standing for a long time, mainly to speed up starting.
There is a battery disconnect switch under the rear seat that works perfectly.
The tires were changed a few years ago, and this is a car that has not driven much with them.
Suspension by leaf springs. They are in good condition, only require lubrication more often.
Radiator: A radiator restoration was done about 5 years ago due to a leak. The current one works perfectly.
Brakes: Original, the car stops correctly according to the latest ITV inspection (March 2026). Not very strong for its weight, but compliant with regulations.
Gearbox and clutch: No comments to add. It works, it has only three gears and reverse.
It has a dual ignition, right and left, so there is no ignition failure.

INTERIOR:

Front: Complete one-piece black leather seat. This piece has springs that are now very worn, as is the condition of the original leather. Worn.
Rear: One-piece seat upholstered in felt. In good condition and well preserved. (Color Gray)
Carriers: There are 2 carriers, upholstered in gray like the rear sofa. In good condition.
Interior: Lined with canvas, in good condition.
Bosch electric windshield wiper in functioning condition.

DOCUMENTATION:

In the photos there are:
- Technical data sheet
- Circulation permit
- ITV valid until February 2027

I have the Classic Vehicle certificate for CO2 tax exemption in Catalonia, issued by the Catalan Federation of Historical Vehicles.

OTHER INFORMATION:

This vehicle held TAXI license in its town, as it transported guests from a hotel to the train station. For this reason the combination of T-49 (6 cylinders), with an engine from the T-48 of 4 cylinders.
I have taxi documentation.
It has a locking system on each interior door and a key lock on the rear door to fully close the car.

All parts are original to the model T-49, bodied in Barcelona in 1930.
It has participated in several editions of rallies, PARIS-BARCELONA and BARCELONA-PARIS.

It is a UNIQUE model, as it is bodied in the factory in Barcelona, with a T-49 chassis and a T-48 engine. UNIQUE

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
