Schuco Combinato 4003 red cabriolet tin toy from West Germany in the 1950s, featuring interactive mechanical functions controlled by the gear lever and steering wheel with a faux speedometer on the dashboard, tested and in working order, in very good condition, supplied in a reproduction box with winding key.
Description from the seller
Superb and authentic mechanical toy car from the famous German brand Schuco, model Combinato 4003, in the red cabriolet version. Made in West Germany (US Zone / Western Germany) during the 1950s.
This tin toy is particularly interesting for collectors because of its interactive mechanical functions: the gear lever and the steering wheel allow you to control the mechanism, and it features a fake speedometer dial on the dashboard.
Condition
Appearance: Very good overall condition for its age. The original red paint is well preserved and shiny, with only a few light traces of use and minor micro-scratches visible in the photos (notably a small mark on the trunk). The chrome (bumpers, grille) is clean. The original plastic windshield is present and intact.
Included accessories:
- Supplied with Schuco winding key (No. 3).
- Supplied with a reproduction of its original illustrated cardboard box.
Mechanical: The key-operated engine is functional as well as the horn, gearbox, and brakes.
