About the artist:
Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools; she currently lives and works in Alicante, Spain. This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, the landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her surroundings. Her works subtly and forcefully address themes such as beauty, love, sensuality, and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic, and refined atmospheres.
With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to merge classical influences with a modern language, yielding versatile, fresh, and deeply evocative works. The pictorial texture of her images, the masterful use of color, and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a contemporary artistic proposal of high aesthetic value.

This striking work captures the sublime tension and ferocity of nature through the direct confrontation between a black panther and a leopard, intertwined by the symbolism of Kintsugi. The dark fur of the panther is subtly veined with golden specks that emulate the resilience of ceramic broken and repaired with gold, conceptually uniting the imperfections of the battle with the beauty of survival. Crowned and connected by sumptuous pearl collars that dramatically contrast with the savagery of their open jaws, the piece transforms a moment of violent rivalry into an eternal dance of duality, baroque luxury, and shared scars, where the fragility of wild life is dignified and elevated to the status of an timeless jewel.
