The frame has a very rich decoration, with volute motifs, acanthus leaves, Baroque/Rococo scrolls, and side cutouts. The overall effect recalls the Baroque style or Louis XV, but the workmanship and construction suggest more of a revival-style frame, i.e., made between the late 19th and early 20th century in the manner of earlier centuries.

La cornice ha una decorazione molto ricca, con motivi a volute, foglie d’acanto, riccioli barocchi/rocaille e trafori laterali. L’effetto generale richiama lo stile barocco o Luigi XV, ma la lavorazione e la costruzione fanno pensare più a una cornice di gusto revival, cioè realizzata tra fine Ottocento e inizio Novecento nello stile dei secoli precedenti.
