About the Author
Born in 1933, Jeanloup Sieff was recruited by the magazine Elle in 1955, initially as a reporter and then as a fashion photographer. From 1959 onward, he became a freelance photographer and collaborated with numerous magazines (Vogue, Queen, Nova, Harper’s Bazaar, Femme, etc.). From 1966, he published numerous books and exhibited his work in museums around the world. In 1992, he won the Grand Prix National de la Photographie and in 1994, the Grand Prix of the Nancy Biennale. In 2000, he published his two last works: Faites comme si je n’étais pas là at Les Éditions de La Martinière and États d’âmes… et ta sœur at Éditions Alternatives. He died on 20 September 2000 in Paris.
