Description from the seller
They are two silvered amphorae from the first half of the 20th century that combine, in a very particular way, Art Deco with soft echoes of Art Nouveau, as if both currents —one geometric and the other organic— coexisted in balance within the same piece.
The slender, elongated body, slightly flared, clearly responds to the Art Deco language: clean lines, vertical proportions, polished surfaces that seek to reflect light and an almost architectural presence. The silvered metal, with its cold, elegant shine, reinforces that sense of contained modernity. On that geometric base there are details that recall Art Nouveau: the frontal medallion framed by a laurel crown, soft reliefs, the fluid shape of the necks and the organic transition between the different sections of the body.
The handles, of angular design but with a decorative gesture that softens their rigidity, complete the stylistic mix. In one of the amphorae there is a small flaw or loss in one of the handles, visible in the photographs, which does not alter the overall reading of the piece but is part of its condition.
Overall, they are two amphorae that combine geometric elegance, ornamental details and a very characteristic silver shine of the period, perfect for interiors seeking pieces with historical presence and a touch of metallic sophistication.
Registered shipping and careful packaging.
