Description from the seller
Liberty cornice in gilded wood with in-relief floral decorations — Early 1900s — MADE IN ITALY.
The surface of the molding is covered with dense, three-dimensional floral decorations in bas-relief — flowers, buds, and leaves intertwining on three sides, while the lower side features an elegant intertwined ribbon motif running along the entire length, creating a refined rhythmic contrast.
The depth of the carving and the quality of the original gilding make this piece a decorative object capable of enhancing oil paintings, botanical watercolors, portraits, and fine prints.
The condition is exceptional for a piece over a hundred years old: no significant loss, continuous gilding, intact structure.
