AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Splendid Murano glass vase with Alexandrite technique from the 60s-70s, in magnificent blue and intense iridescent purple, varying with light. This particular technique (alexandrite) is produced with the inclusion of neodymium oxide in the molten glass. In this way the Murano glass work changes color as lighting conditions vary: lavender appears under natural artificial light, yellowish or warm white; blue under fluorescent light or cool white. The name comes from the gemstone alexandrite, a variety of chrysoberyl, which has similar colors and properties. Alexandrite was invented to imitate it.
This wonderful design vase created by a Murano glassworks is of excellent craftsmanship, with thick, heavy glass; its sinuous shape represents Italian design worldwide. This superb vase is pleasing to behold in any spot in the home and enhances the environment with taste and elegance. The conditions are very good with a very light patina of time on the surface. Height about 25 cm.
The lot will be carefully packed; shipping will be by express courier and delivery to the purchaser's address.
