Description from the seller
- Prototype of the ZEHNFINGER seat stool
- Finely sanded, black-stained and oiled, with light signs of wear
- Manufactured in 2026, in my studio in Germany
- Material is oak from the German central uplands, sourced from ecologically responsibly managed forests.
- Dimensions (H x W x D): 50 x 36 x 36 cm
- Weight: 11 kg
- ZEHNFINGER Schwarz is a very personal furniture concept by designer Daniel Heilig. He was inspired by his passion for sneakers, fascination with the Triple Black colorway, as well as designer Yohji Yamamoto and his legendary, blissfully rebellious approach to elegant, deep-dark beautiful All Black.
ZEHNFINGER combines originality, modern minimalism and sculptural furniture design. Slim curved arches, elegant proportions and symmetrical balance give the stool an aura of relaxed nobility. Color treatment and the vertical alignment of the body, finger supports, oak grain and high upholstery radiate meditative clarity. As a design solitaire, ZEHNFINGER brings the aesthetics of classical architecture into demanding interiors.
Inspired by the iconic arch arrangements of the Aqueduct of Obidos in Portugal, the stool architecture reinterprets ZEHNFINGER’s monumental column-building craft in surprisingly new ways. In the crafted solid-wood body, two arches rhythmically contrast with two closed sides. Depending on the light, column shadows wander through the room. Firmly anchored in the body sits the comfortable, hand-sewn fabric upholstery. Quality in detail and timeless design make the ZEHNFINGER stool a beloved life companion.
