SEIBT - EA 247 Radio

For sale is a genuine piece of German broadcasting history: an original Seibt EA 247 valve receiver (Audion principle) from the years 1924/1925, manufactured by the legendary Dr. Georg Seibt GmbH in Berlin.

The unit is in an exceptionally good, clean and unmodified original condition for its age of over 100 years. Ideal for demanding collectors or as a representative museum piece.

Enclosure & Front: The wooden case is very well preserved. The black ebonite/bakelite front panel has a deep shine, no cracks, and the markings are perfectly legible.

Included accessories: Complete with the original, delicate basket coils (plug-in coils) in excellent condition, as well as the original multi-core cloth-insulated wiring harness including old banana plugs and fork lugs.

Inside: Absolutely clean and untouched. The original NF transformer from N.T.I. with the authentic "Two years warranty" banderole is installed.

Special highlight: On the back there is the original, perfectly preserved triangular red-white Telefunken manufacturing permit plaque (VDO x FI, For Germany only) – an important criterion for historical authenticity.

Tube complement: Equipped with a historic triode (TE-KA / VT-series). The tube is visually intact (heater filament untested / the device is sold as an untested collector’s item/decorative piece due to its age).

A rare complete package in this condition of preservation, which should not be missing from any ambitious radio collection.
