Oak wood plant table from France, model Hoge Bijzettafel (107 cm), in good condition with minor signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
An oak plant stand – circa 1900–1920
A beautiful and elegant antique oak plant stand from France, crafted from oak and executed in the characteristic Art Nouveau style. The table is distinguished by its gracefully curved legs, organic lines, and decorative openwork details under the top, features typical of refined French design from the early 20th century.
The plant stand has two levels. The top has a subtly undulating contour that gives the piece a soft, harmonious appearance. The lower shelf provides extra space for decorative objects and at the same time reinforces the stability of the slender design. The slender, elegantly curved legs create an airy silhouette, so the table retains a refined and light appearance despite its height.
The lower shelf shows signs of past woodworm activity. The table has been fully treated and is free of active wood-destroying insects. The existing traces are part of its authentic history and character.
