Roman votive mirror from the 1st–3rd century AD, made of lead and 10 cm high, in good condition, acquired from a private collection in Germany in 2008, authentic/original.
Description from the seller
Small Roman mirror. Decorated with circles, dots, and a stripe decoration. It is a votive offering.
Roman mirrors usually consisted of three parts: a base lead plate, a glass plate backed with lead foil, and a frame.
Mirrors were often placed with the deceased in burials of women, as were rings, bracelets and other personal objects.
