Made of fine solid mahogany, it retains all of its original elements: a raised top with an original beaded mirror, turned columns, refined relief carvings, period hardware, and the original plaque of the renowned Maple & Co., one of the most prestigious British furniture makers of the Victorian and early Edwardian era.

The piece was personally purchased in London about forty years ago and has remained in the same private collection ever since. It is therefore not a recently market-tested item, but furniture with documented provenance and family history.

The construction quality is evident in every detail: artisanal craftsmanship, elegant proportions, rich carved decoration, and superior finishes—characteristics that made Maple & Co. a supplier to the aristocracy and Europe’s upper middle class.
