Description from the seller

Pair of Italian wall-mounted consoles dating from the 1930s, made of carved spruce wood and finely hand-decorated with multicolored floral motifs in a Baroque/Rococo-inspired taste.

The pieces feature a sinuous and light silhouette, with carved legs and a shaped front frieze, expression of the refined Italian decorative revival of the early twentieth century.

The painted decoration, executed by hand, preserves a pleasant antique patina enhanced by a recent conservative restoration carried out with:

watercolor touch-ups
traditional shellac finish
structural consolidation

The consoles are original in all their parts except for the rear, which was replaced over time to ensure greater stability.

The photographs show in detail:

the quality of the manual painting
the carved workmanship of the legs
the surface with natural craquelure and signs of age
the gloss achieved through traditional shellac polishing

Perfect as a decorative element for entryways, living rooms, bedrooms or shabby chic and eclectic spaces.

Materials
Solid spruce wood
Hand-painted multicolor decoration
Shellac finish

Conditions
Good overall conservation condition with normal signs of wear consistent with the age and authenticity of the piece.
