Flower pot in typic Flemish earthenware, also known as Poterie Flamande. Produced by the Etablissement Willemyns from Bruges.
The potter’s workshop of the Willemyns family was a renowned company in the 20th century known for traditional Flemish folk art in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
Decoration: This specific model (often referred to as model number 141 in sales catalogs) dates from the 1920s–1930s. It features a distinctive drip glaze in shades of blue, green and brown.
Technique: The earthenware is glazed majolica, with the colors often blending into one another.
