The Yashica Electro 35 GT is the black-finished version of Yashicas Electro 35 G-series, a 35mm aperture-priority rangefinder introduced in 1969. It carries a fixed Yashinon-DX 45mm f/1.7 lens and uses a CdS meter driving an electronically controlled stepless shutter: the photographer sets the aperture and the camera selects the shutter speed automatically (from roughly 30 seconds to 1/500). The T denotes the black-paint body, distinguishing it from the chrome S models such as the GS. It originally used a 5.6V mercury battery (PX32), which today requires a modern replacement or adapter. Its fast lens and quiet electronic shutter make it a well-loved classic among film shooters.

Important — please read carefully:
This camera powers on and the meter responds, and the shutter-chamber seals have been renewed, but please note: the self-timer is sticky and the battery-check lamp does not light, and there are traces of past battery-chamber leakage (contacts cleaned/polished). It uses a 5.6V mercury-type battery (modern replacement recommended). The lens is very clean. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.

2. The battery-check lamp does not light. The camera otherwise powers on and the exposure system responds. (These cameras use a 5.6V mercury-type battery; a modern replacement/adapter is recommended.)
3. There are traces of past leakage in the battery chamber; the contacts have been cleaned/polished and the camera powers on and meters.
