Description from the seller
GENERAL
This Swiss-delivered 1988 BMW E30 325iX Touring is a rare model featuring permanent all-wheel drive and a 5-speed manual transmission, with only approximately 5,200 units produced. The car has an odometer reading of 204,000 km and is currently registered in Switzerland. A few months ago, the vehicle successfully passed the official Swiss technical inspection (MFK).
BODYWORK & PAINTWORK
The bodywork has undergone a professional restoration and high-standard full respray. Any corrosion identified during the restoration process was expertly repaired, and the entire underbody has been professionally treated and protected.
TECHNICAL
The car features a professionally rebuilt engine with a completely overhauled cylinder head and new valves. The entire cooling system was serviced with replacement hoses and components where necessary. Additionally, the starter motor, alternator, spark plugs, various sensors, brakes, shock absorbers, steering components, front and rear suspension, tires, all fluids, and engine oil (10W-60) have been renewed. The car starts immediately and is mechanically turn-key.
INTERIOR
The interior remains beautifully original, featuring factory BMW Recaro sport seats upholstered in original BMW leather along with matching leather door panels. The original air conditioning system is intact and the compressor operates correctly, though the system requires a refrigerant recharge to blow cold air. The electric side mirrors are currently non-functional and need further inspection.
DOCUMENTS
The vehicle comes complete with its full service history, all original handover documentation and user manuals provided when new, and the certificate of the recent Swiss technical inspection (MFK).
PICK-UP
The car is registered in Canton Valais (VS), where Swiss export license plates cannot be issued directly to a foreign buyer's name. The purchaser will need to collect the vehicle using a trailer or arrange temporary export plates from their home country prior to pick-up.
OTHER INFORMATION
This represents an outstanding opportunity to acquire an increasingly rare and sought-after classic BMW. Thanks to its thorough restoration, documented Swiss provenance, and refreshed mechanical components, the car is ready to be driven home or added to a serious collection.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
