Pair of Eshus united by a binding, and cowrie pendants with natural blue pigment. The forest spirits are sacred, and in the dances these Eshus are summoned to petition for prosperity and the village’s protection with offerings. In Europe it is customary to place them as shown in the photos, but in the hidden part of the figures there are carved holes for their support.

Los espíritus del bosque son sagrados, y en las danzas estos Eshus son convocados para solicitar con ofrendas la prosperidad y protección del poblado. En Europa es costumbre colocarlos como se presentan en las fotos, pero realmente en la parte oculta de las figuras llevan talladas unos orificios para su sustentación.
