Description from the seller

Lot of 10 vintage corkscrews from France, Germany, England and the United States, dating from the early 20th century to the 1970s. The selection shows a nice variety of constructions, materials and technical solutions, from simple direct-pull models to more developed mechanical systems.

1. French “Lazy Tong” or extensible corkscrew, chrome-plated steel, in excellent condition.
2. French double-action corkscrew by René Birambeau, ca. 1950s, finished in boxwood.
3. French T-handle with a decorative bamboo grip.
4. English direct-pull with natural deer antler handle.
5. German ball-bearing corkscrew with Indian Rubber ring and handle made of deer antler.
6. French picnic corkscrew by Émile Vaillant, compact folding model.
7. German Sieger 600, black plastic model from the latter half of the 20th century.
8. German corkscrew with a spring mechanism, clock featuring an opening that also serves as a crown-cap opener.
9. American model based on the patented design by William Clough, early 20th century.
10. Charming French direct-pull with a classic turned wooden handle.

An attractive lot for collectors, including both well-known manufacturers and representative models from European and American corkscrew history. Ideal for collectors seeking a varied selection with different operating principles, materials and styles.

The photos are an integral part of the description. The corkscrews are generally in good to very good vintage condition, with normal signs of use and aging appropriate to their age. All items are original vintage pieces.
