Lot of 10 vintage corkscrews from France, Germany, England and the United States, dating from the early 20th century to the 1970s. The selection shows a nice variety of constructions, materials and technical solutions, from simple direct-pull models to more developed mechanical systems.
1. French “Lazy Tong” or extensible corkscrew, chrome-plated steel, in excellent condition.
2. French double-action corkscrew by René Birambeau, ca. 1950s, finished in boxwood.
3. French T-handle with a decorative bamboo grip.
4. English direct-pull with natural deer antler handle.
5. German ball-bearing corkscrew with Indian Rubber ring and handle made of deer antler.
6. French picnic corkscrew by Émile Vaillant, compact folding model.
7. German Sieger 600, black plastic model from the latter half of the 20th century.
8. German corkscrew with a spring mechanism, clock featuring an opening that also serves as a crown-cap opener.
