Description from the seller

Old 3-light chandelier in alabaster, bronze and glass – Louis XVI style – circa 1900.

Elegant antique chandelier with three lights, dating probably from the late 19th or early 20th century, around 1900.

The fixture consists of a substantial central alabaster bowl in natural veined alabaster with pinkish, cream and blue-gray tones, paired with a rich decorative mount in patinated bronze or brass, formerly gilt.

The suspension is particularly worked, with relief decorative elements, botanical motifs and ornamental garlands. Three curved arms support amber-colored glass tulips, giving the piece a warm and elegant character.

Decorative chandelier in Louis XVI / neoclassical style, representative of the Belle Époque taste for the combination of alabaster, gilded metal and glass.

Old condition with significant patina of time, traces of oxidation and wear consistent with age. The alabaster bowl shows visible cracks, to be noted and perfectly documented in the photographs. The condition of the electrical installation should be checked before use.

An antique luminaire of character, particularly decorative, preserving a fine authenticity and a significant patina.

Period: around 1890–1915
Style: Louis XVI / neoclassical, Belle Époque
Materials: alabaster, bronze or brass, glass
Number of lights: 3
Condition: antique condition with patina, oxidation, wear and alabaster cracks – see detailed photos.

Overall suspended height: 64/67 cm
