Description from the seller

Beautiful, very heavy quality solid tin lid box (tobacco pot / tea caddy) in an elegant, wavy (ribbed) design. The object is in a beautiful, authentic antique state with a characteristic patina that perfectly suits its age. The lid closes well. The base is adorned with an impressive and very complete set of four sharp antique guild stamps that prove historical authenticity: Engeltjestin: A finely detailed oval hallmark featuring an angel with the scales, bearing the quality designation "ZINN 95%" (guarantee of high-quality tin).
Gekroonde Roos: The traditional Continental quality mark of a Crowned Rose (Fein Zinn), with initials visible in the heart of the flower and a finely serrated outer edge.
Meesterteken: A separate master stamp with a fleur-de-lis in the center and on the right the clearly legible initials of the tin caster: "I B" (or "J B").
Stadswapen: A circular guild stamp with a divided shield in which a crescent moon (washerwoman) and several five-pointed stars are visible, characteristic of a Central German tin-caster city.
This heavy, artisanal cast work is a beautiful and well-documented collectible for lovers of antique European tin.
