Offered is this WireWorld Interconnect Comparator unit (also known as Cable Comparator), a professional tool manufactured by WireWorld in the mid-1990s.
Designed by David Salz (founder of WireWorld), this device was created to enable instant and objective comparisons between RCA interconnect cables. Its selection system via the large central dial allowed switching from one cable to another or moving to the BYPASS position (direct reference connection) while maintaining exactly the same listening conditions.
This tool was used by professional reviewers from specialized magazines such as Stereophile, Hi-Fi News, and SUONO, who used it to conduct reliable double-blind tests. WireWorld also used it internally during the development of its cables.
