Silver votive crown or statue crown - repoussé and pierced work – 18th century
Votive crown intended for the adornment of a religious statue, made of silver (tested).
The mount is richly decorated with pierced motifs of scrolls and baroque-inspired twists, resting on a base adorned with a row of raised cabochons.
The four finely chased arches join beneath a summit cross. The crown is equipped with its original fixing tip, allowing its mounting on a sculpture of the Virgin or Child Jesus.
Very good condition, with light signs of use consistent with age. The fixing tip is present.
