Description from the seller

GENERAL:
This is a remarkable 1990 Honda Civic time capsule representing the highly revered fourth generation built on the ED/EF chassis code. Introduced in the late 1980s, this generation of the Civic turned the automotive world on its head by introducing Honda's sophisticated double-wishbone suspension design at all four corners, a layout heavily inspired by their Formula 1 racing expertise. This engineering choice gave these lightweight economy cars a level of precise handling and cornering agility that shamed many contemporary sports cars, earning them a permanent cult status among driving enthusiasts worldwide. This specific 1.6-litre 16-valve model is an ultra-low mileage example showing approximately 83.000 kms on the odometer. Averaging exceptionally low usage over its 36-year lifespan, this vehicle presents in very good, highly original survivor condition and has been carefully garage-kept throughout its lifetime.

BODYWORK & PAINT:
The exterior showcases a very good survivor condition, featuring original paint that retains an excellent deep gloss. Thanks to a lifetime of indoor garage storage, the bodywork is exceptionally well preserved, showing zero structural rust, fading, or sun damage.

TECHNICAL:
Under the hood is a bulletproof 1.6-liter 16-valve inline-four engine paired with a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission. Because of its remarkably low mileage of approximately 83.000 kms, all mechanical components feel exceptionally tight and responsive, performing beautifully.

INTERIOR:
The cabin is in very good, highly preserved condition. The original fabric seats, dashboard, headliner, and door cards show virtually no signs of wear. The entire interior layout is completely free of any cracks, tears, blemishes, or aftermarket modifications.
PS Steering wheel has a red cover to mach the cars red color, and underneath its like rest of the car very good condition.

DOCUMENTS:
This vehicle features historic vehicle registration and is backed by an unbroken, highly detailed chronological history file. It has a valid technical inspection which it passed cleanly in June 2026. The bulletproof paper trail even includes the car's original purchase invoice from its initial delivery.

COLLECTION:
The vehicle is located and available for collection or pickup in Marbella, Spain.

OTHER INFORMATION:
With its rare level of preservation, unmatched engineering heritage, and intact documentation, this fourth-generation Civic is a premier candidate for a serious collector or a vintage Japanese car enthusiast looking for a pristine daily driver or weekend cruiser.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
