Extremely Rare Maritime Menu Card / Wedding Invitation (1951) - Wedding of Jan Wortelboer & Marianne Brenninkmeijer (C&A Family)
An extremely rare and historically unique menu card from a festive dinner aboard the naval ship Her Majesty’s “Midduin,” dating from 1951.
This unique document was issued on the occasion of the marriage between Commander Jan Wortelboer (30) and Marianne Brenninkmeijer (22) on Tuesday, 22 May 1951.
The bride, Marianne Brenninkmeijer, was a descendant of the well-known Dutch textile family behind the C&A concern. On the card she is poetically described as the "guardian angel" of the commander. (commander Jan Wortelboer)

Personal documents, photographs and memorabilia from the inner circle of this family virtually never appear on the public market. This makes this original wedding/menu card an absolute rarity and a unique opportunity for the serious collector.
