Ultrasound (JVC) FCR-6000 Portable TV/Radio/Cassette Recorder (c. 1980)
A compact all-in-one entertainment unit from around 1980, combining a black-and-white CRT television, AM/FM/SW radio tuner, and a cassette recorder in a single portable device. Produced for the German market by Ultrasound (Gebr. Schick GmbH & Co. KG, Pfungstadt).
The top-loading cassette deck features dedicated Aufn (record), Start, Stop, and Cass controls. The set includes a tuning dial, brightness and contrast adjustment, external antenna connector, and microphone and headphone inputs – a complete multimedia package typical of ambitious 1980s portable electronics design.
