Description from the seller
1966 Yugoslavia to Greece Maritime Trade Document - Certificate of Origin for Sugar Import to Greece via s/s Pellini - Cold War Era
A fascinating piece of mid-20th-century maritime and economic history. This is an original 1966 Certificate of Origin (COPIE) issued on December 10, 1966, by the Chamber of Economy of the Socialist Republic of Serbia (part of former Yugoslavia) in Belgrade. The document certifies the export of 14,000 kg (14 tons) of refined granulated white sugar from the historic Yugoslavian factory "Fabrika šećera Crvenka" (shipped by the state conglomerate Centroprom Beograd).
Maritime Connection: Transported by the steamship s/s Pellini, capturing a snapshot of Mediterranean cargo shipping during the Cold War.
Features the original official circular stamp of the "Republika Srbija - Privredna Komora" in Cyrillic, a bold purple "COPIE" stamp, the authorized signature, and the handwritten tax fee ("Taksa") at the bottom left.
Very good vintage condition for its age. It shows natural, minor aging patina and light folding creases, which only add to its authentic historical character. Completely intact, with crisp typing and clear stamps.
Strong custom made packing, registered shipping.
