Item Description
This is a Technics SE-A5 Stereo DC Power Amplifier, part of the acclaimed New Class A synchro-bias series produced by Technics (Panasonic) in Japan. The unit features the brand's distinctive large twin power meters on the front panel, illuminated to display left and right channel output in both watts and dB, along with output power (full/limited) and main/remote speaker selection switches, plus a dedicated headphone jack.
The rear panel offers both normal and DC input terminals with individual left/right input level controls, along with main and remote speaker terminal pairs and a switched AC outlet for connecting additional components. The amplifier is rated 100V, 330W, 50/60Hz and carries the SE-A5 model designation on its rear identification plate.
The unit has been tested and powers on, with basic operation confirmed. A slight crackle is present in the input level controllers when adjusted, which is common for amplifiers of this age and may benefit from contact cleaning.
