Published in 1958, about 70 pages. The first issue of Theo Crosby's revolutionary magazine Uppercase, devoted to avant-garde art, design, and architecture. The main editorial content comes from Eduardo Paolozzi, with about thirty pages of notes, illustrations, and photographs. There is also a contribution by David Piper on Elizabethan art and by artists such as Magda Cordell and John McHale.
The cover is glued to the magazine, with some detachments, edge wear of the spine with small missing pieces, but otherwise this first issue is in good condition.
Binding with metal brads; stain on the cover (visible in the photo)
