Sacred Heart of Jesus – Flemish Earthenware – A. Noseda - Belgium – ca. 1920–1940.

Glazed bust of Christ with the Sacred Heart, mounted on an integrated base with two small candle holders. Expressive modeling of the face and the Sacred Heart motif, with vivid glaze colors and subtle iridescence. Signed A. Noseda, one of the pioneers of Torhout or Flemish pottery, active from 1914 and best known for his religious ceramics between the two world wars.
Height approx. 19 cm; good overall condition with normal signs of use and age, the right candle holder is glued, otherwise light glaze wear and small irregularities typical of the material and age.
