Set of three German stoneware bottles dating from ca. 1880–1915, in good condition with small signs of aging and each about 23.5 cm tall.
Description from the seller
Dear Bidders,
I'm offering here three antique stoneware bottles, most likely of German origin, dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century (circa 1880–1915).
Made of high-fired salt-glazed stoneware, they feature a cylindrical form with a characteristic shoulder handle and embossed marks ("No. 23", "No. 96" and the letter "E"), likely identifying the production series or manufacturer.
Such bottles were commonly used for storing chemicals, pharmaceutical products or mineral waters due to the durability and non-porous nature of stoneware.
Today they are highly decorative and versatile pieces. They can be used as sculptural vases, water or wine bottles/carafes, or as unique candle holders, bringing authentic rustic, industrial or farmhouse character to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Beautiful original patina and signs of age enhance their historical appeal.
