Description from the seller
Fiat OSI 1200 S Coupé – 1966
We offer for sale a very rare Fiat OSI 1200 S Coupé from 1966, one of the most exclusive Italian grand-tours of the 1960s, built by Officine Stampaggi Industriali (OSI) of Turin on Fiat mechanicals and designed by Giovanni Michelotti, one of the most renowned Italian automotive designers.
Presented in the mid-1960s, the 1200 S Coupé arises from the combination of proven Fiat mechanics with a coachwork crafted by hand by OSI. The elegant and streamlined lines, characterized by the long front hood, the lowered cabin, and the fastback profile, give the car a sporty and timeless personality.
Production was extremely limited: only 70 units in total, making this model today a very rare presence on the international collectible market. According to collectors’ registries and information currently available, about four surviving examples are known, including the one offered here.
The car was registered in 1967 and retains its original first registration plates, a detail of particular interest for enthusiasts and collectors. In almost sixty years of life it has had only three owners, all passionate about prestigious automobiles.
The vehicle is ASI listed and is accompanied by the Certificato di Rilevanza Storica (CRS), documentation that certifies its historical and collectible value.
Condition report
From an aesthetic standpoint, the car presents a good overall state of preservation. The bodywork is well maintained and shows some signs of wear consistent with the age of the vehicle and with a restoration carried out at the end of the Eighties. Such imperfections do not compromise the car’s excellent presence.
The interior is original and well preserved. There are a few minor imperfections in the headliner upholstery and normal signs of use compatible with more than sixty years of life.
The mechanicals, derived from the Fiat 1200, are appreciated for reliability, robustness, and ease of maintenance.
Maintenance performed
Recently the car underwent a significant major service including:
- Replacement of the brake pump.
- Replacement of engine oil and related filter.
- Replacement of transmission oil.
- Replacement of differential oil.
- Complete cleaning of the braking system.
- Installation of a new stainless steel exhaust system built by SS Competition.
The car is perfectly roadworthy and can handle long trips, of course with the care required for a historic car over sixty years old.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
