A museum-quality, fully hand-built wooden model ship of the legendary French line-of-battle ship "Le Soleil Royal" from 1669. This impressive ship served as the lavish flagship of the French navy under King Louis XIV (the Sun King).
This model has been built with extreme precision and attention to historical detail from high-quality woods (plank-on-frame). The ship is in absolute top condition; the rigging is taut and all delicate details are fully intact.
Features of the model:
• Historically accurate: Beautifully rendered in the iconic royal blue color with gold-colored Baroque ornaments, lion heads at the gun ports, and the original French flags with golden fleurs-de-lys.
• Heavy armament: Impressive three-decker with more than 100 finely detailed cannons.
• Includes display case: The ship sits in a tailor-made, dust-free glass display cabinet with a wooden base. This keeps the model perfectly protected from dust and damage, preserving its durability and value.
