Fantastic, powerful microsystem that built on the success of the very first Technics high-definition microsystem, the SC-HD01.

The system features an amplifier that delivered real 45 watts per channel into 6 ohms – not marketing talk, but actual output power. It was later followed by the SC-HD81, the last of the powerful Technics microsystems.

The recommended price in the United States in the late eighties was around US$900, which at the time was very high, even for a high-end component system.
