Bronze sculpture of a standing horse with head held high and flowing mane, set on a naturalistic rock base, mounted on a black marble base.
On the bronze base signed "A. Barye". This is a posthumous cast after the model by Antoine-Louis Barye (1795–1875), the most important French animalier sculptor of the 19th century – not a piece cast during his lifetime.

Dimensions: Height 26.5 cm, Width 10.5 cm, Depth 22 cm
Weight: 4279 g
Color: Brown patinated
Condition: Good, age-appropriate condition. The bronze shows an even brown patina with fine surface detailing. There is a hairline crack on the marble base (see photos), as well as minor edge losses at the bottom of the base. The bronze itself is undamaged and stable.
