Lenci cloth doll with original illustrated box – Italy, mid-20th century
Delightful original Lenci doll, made of pressed felt and fabric, with a hand-painted face displaying the expressive features typical of the famed Turin craftsmanship. The specimen features a full, curly blonde hairstyle, painted eyes, and preserves the original outfit consisting of a bright fuchsia dress with blue polka dots, lace collar, coordinated bonnet, bow, and matching shoes.
The doll is accompanied by its own original illustrated box, decorated with the characteristic Lenci landscape motif depicting houses, trees, and stylized figures, an element increasingly sought after by collectors and that increases its collecting interest.
Overall condition good for its age. The doll retains the original clothing and shows normal signs of time and use.
